For those that own the new Honor smartphone, you may want to know how to enable and disable autocorrect on Honor 9. The reason for this feature is on your device is to fix typing errors that you make. But every once in a while, Honor 9 autocorrect makes mistakes correcting things that don’t need fixing. While other times missing words that need to be corrected.
In addition, autocorrect on Honor 9 isn’t the best to use when using lots of slang and shorthand words that it sometimes marks incorrect. - Turn on the Honor 9
- Go to the keyboard
- Tap and hold on ‘Dictation Key’ that can be found next to the space bar

- Below Smart Typing, tap on Predictive Text and disable this feature
- Here you can also turn off other settings like auto-capitalization and punctuation
Later if you want to go back enable autocorrect for the features that you’ve turned off, just follow the steps above and turn them on again. The process is very easy.
It’s important to note that disabling autocorrect on Honor 9 only works for the stock keyboard that the phone has pre-installed. If you’ve downloaded a third-party keyboard, then you’ll need to disable autocorrect on Honor 9 a different way.
