The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus phone may be a flagship smartphone, but it has some flaw, such as a battery that quickly drains. This can be attributed to some of the apps you are using, but it also may be due to bugs in the Android operating system. There are several things you can do to help slow a fast draining battery in your Huawei P10 and P10 Plus phone.
Disable LTE, Location, Bluetooth
Location tracking, LTE internet access, and Bluetooth all impact the speed with which the battery drains. It’s perfectly fine to use these features when you need them. However, when you don’t need these services, you can save your battery by turning them off. If you want to leave the location feature on, just put your Huawei P10 and P10 Plus phone in power saving mode. It will still wake up when necessary, such as when you need to use the internet.
Use Huawei P10 and P10 Plus Power-Saving Mode
There are several options available in the Power Saving mode. You can turn limit background data, turn off GPS, backlit keys, lower the screen frame rate, and throttling your phone’s processor. It’s also possible to choose to start power saving automatically or manually.
WiFi can quickly drain a battery if it’s left on all the time. It is unnecessary and even unsafe to automatically connect to every WiFi network within range of your Huawei P10 and P10 Plus phone. To conserve battery power, turn off your WiFi if you’re not using it. If you’re on a 3G/4G/LTE network, you may not be able to access mobile data if your WiFi is on. To ensure you can access the high-speed cell phone network, turn off your WiFi.
Disable Or Manage Background Sync
When you use an app then open another app, the first app stays open in the background, draining your battery. If you have several apps open at one time, this can cause your battery to drain really fast. To make your battery last the longest it can, you need to be sure and close all apps that you aren’t currently using. Some of these apps will run your battery down faster than others because they are sending frequent requests to sync their data. To disable this, use two fingers to swipe downward, opening Quick Settings. Find the Sync icon and tap to disable.
For an alternative method, just open Settings and select Accounts. Disable sync for any apps you don’t need. This will help to greatly improve battery life.
Reboot or Reset Huawei P10 and P10 Plus
There are times when you try everything, but the battery is still draining way too fast. If you have closed all apps, disabled sync and WiFi or 3G/4G/LTE internet access on your phone, and your battery still drains quickly, then you may have to perform a factory reset to fix a bug or other hidden issue. Please refer to this guide: how to reboot & reset the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus.
Tethering is easy and convenient when you need to connect another device to the internet. It can also quickly drain a battery all by itself when in use. To preserve battery life, only use tethering when absolutely necessary. Your Huawei P10 and P10 Plus battery will thank you for it. When you’re not using the tether feature, be sure to turn it off.
