The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus phone comes with Autocorrect. It is there to correct errors made when you are typing on your smartphone’s keyboard. Sometimes, the autocorrect will replace what you typed with something bizarre, or at the very least, something you hadn’t intended. Other times, autocorrect may attempt to correct something you actually had typed correctly. If you are a user who finds autocorrect to be more trouble than it’s worth, it’s easy to disable.
If you want to disable the autocorrect feature on your huawei P10 and P10 Plus, you have two options: 1) You can completely disable autocorrect; or 2) You can disable it when typing words autocorrect doesn’t recognize. To disable autocorrect on your Huawei P10 and P10 Plus phone, just follow the easy steps below.
How to turn on and off autocorrect on Huawei P10 and P10 Plus:
- Power up your phone
- Bring up the keyboard
- Select and hold the ‘Dictation Key’ next to the space bar
- Select Settings
- Under Smart Typing, select Predictive Text and disable
- Disable additional settings such as auto-capitalization and punctuation
If you decide that you want to restore the autocorrect features you disabled, use the steps above, selecting the autocorrect features you want enabled on your Huawei P10 and P10 Plus.
When using a keyboard other than the one installed by default in your Huawei P10 and P10 Plus phone, you may have to figure out how to disable the autocorrect, since it will likely be quite different from the default Huawei P10 and P10 Plus keyboard.
