For those that have purchased the new phone from OnePlus, it’s a good idea to know how to hide photos on OnePlus 5, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. The reason for this is because you may not want others to things on your phone when you have them use it. It could also be because you have private information that needs to be protected incase your One Plus 5, One Plus 6 or One Plus 6T gets stolen.

The way that you can have OnePlus 5/OnePlus 6/OnePlus 6T hide photos is by using Private Mode. When you go ahead and use Private Mode, others need to have the passcode or pattern lock to be able to access hidden photos or videos. Below we’ll explain how to hide photos on OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 5.

 

How to enable Private Mode on OnePlus 5, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T

  1. Turn on your OnePlus
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen
  3. Once in Quick Settings, tap on Private Mode
  4. After you get in Private Mode, follow the directions on screen to turn to set up Private Mode for the first time

 

How to disable Private Mode on OnePlus 5, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T

  1. Turn on your OnePlus
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen
  3. Once in Quick Settings, tap on Private Mode
  4. After you’ve tapped on Private Mode, your phone will go back to the normal settings

 

How to add and remove files from Private Mode on OnePlus 5, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T

  1. Turn on OnePlus
  2. Look for and choose on the images/videos that you want to hide on your phone
  3. Select on the file (s) and select the Overflow button
  4. Tap on Move to Private.
