There’s been talks in the distance that Apple had been planning to release a product that would focus on location tracking for some time now. But it seems like the day will finally arrive tomorrow. With the big Apple Event focusing on the new Apple iPhone, many other smaller products are expected to be announced as well during this event, including what many believe to be called the Apple AirTags.
You might be asking, what are Apple AirTags? That is a great question. This product is suppose to resemble something like the Tile product that people use for their keys, wallets and other items that they lose often and need help tracking down. Currently, third party companies offer something of this sort, but none will have the power or be as friendly in the Apple ecosystem as the AirTags.
The way that these are expected to work is that you can use them with a numerous of different things and you should be able to find them even if you don’t have phone service or WiFi. It’s been suggested that the AirTags will use Bluetooth, and should have a range between 300-400 feet.
It’s believed that you’ll need to have your devices on iOS 14 for these to work properly, but older updates of iOS 13, also seems to be compatible with iOS 13.
Apple AirTags Price And Release Date
It’s expected that the Apple AirTags will be priced around $35 and will be announced during the Apple iPhone 12 Event this week in October. It’s still no official word of when these AirTags will become released to the public, but it’s believed that sometime in early/middle of 2021 that these will go on sale.
