When you suddenly feel the need to create a couple of folders on your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus, you might not know what to do. That’s because you don’t have a visible command that is waiting for one tap to create your folder. It’s not very complicated either, the secret rather relying in knowing your options in advance.
That’s right, there is more than one way to make folders, which is why we said options:
- Option #1 – start from two apps and generate a folder automatically;
- Option #2 – start from one app and generate a folder with the available options.
If you go for option #1, you just need to select an app, maintain the selection, then drag and drop it on the second app. After you do that, a folder will replace the position of the second app, the one where you released your first app icon. You can change its name and personalize it and, if you access that folder, you’ll find your two apps listed in there.
On the other hand, if you go for option #2, you must select an app and drag it at the top of the screen, on the New Folder icon. This time you will also get a new folder and you’ll be asked to change its name. But then, you can continue to drag any other icon in that folder, just like in the first instance.
Both options let you bring in as many apps as you want, but also widgets. The terms apply to the apps that are sitting on the Home Screen of your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus, taking up more and more space. Go on and follow any of these two methods to create a folder. You will see, at some point, that you can also create another folder right inside that initial folder, and so far, and so on!
