Everybody loves shortcuts, right? That’s why we set up icons of important apps or message previews right on the Lock Screen, that’s why we launch some apps with just the tap of a button and that’s why we customize our web browsers to get to our favorite websites easier with adding bookmarks on iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr
When it comes to navigating online faster, the Apple iPhone offer their users the Bookmark option. What these bookmarks do is to spare you from having to launch the web browser, accessing a search engine, typing the URL of the website you want to go to, and waiting for the page to load.
Instead, you can create a folder on your Home Screen and place in there – or straight to the Home Screen, if you have enough space – those bookmarks. They are icons, just like the ones of your apps and widgets. But when you tap on them, each bookmark will take you to a previously saved website address.
Long story short, a bookmark is the shortcut of your web browser directly accessing your favorite website. That icon will launch nothing else but the browsing app, only that with a different page (than the default home page) already loaded.
Doesn’t even matter if you use Safari or any other app, the steps for getting to this option are just as intuitive and straightforward with any browser! Follow the steps below to learn how to add bookmarks on iPhone Xs Max, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xr.
To add a bookmark on iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone Xr Home Screen…
- Unlock the iPhone;
- Launch the Safari app – or, as suggested, whatever internet browser you prefer;
- Type the URL of the website for which you are planning to create the bookmark;
- When the page is loaded, hit the icon with the arrow going up;
- Select the option labeled as Add Bookmark and that was it.
Back to the Home Screen of iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max or iPhone Xr, the bookmark that automatically takes you to that web page has been created. Go on and try it, you’ll see how easy it is. Next, you can obviously repeat these steps and create new bookmarks.
