How To Enable Developer Mode On iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max And iPhone XR

If you’ve heard about the Developer Mode but you didn’t see it on your iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR, it’s for an obvious reason. Apple has designed this running mode for the more advanced and experienced users (like developers and all kinds of persons who try out advanced things). So, the option is not sitting in plain sight, but it isn’t inaccessible to the average users either.

Assuming you know where to look for it and how to activate it, you will have no restrictions in enjoying the Developer Mode and all the advanced features that come with it. Some might fear that if it’s hidden, it must be something dangerous to try out but we beg to differ.

The accurate steps for enabling the Developer Mode on an iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR:

  1. First, set up a connection between the iPhone where you want to enable the Developer Mode and a computer (it can be any kind of computer, PC or Mac);
  2. Once the two of them are connected, take the iPhone and start holding the Home and the Power buttons – you might have to do it for 7-10 seconds;
  3. Then, you can release the Power command but continue to hold the Home key – for yet another 10 seconds or so;
  4. When you let go of the Home key, you must notice the screen remaining black and a message popping up on the iTunes (the latter is a notification that iTunes detected a device in Recovery Mode and, in order to use it, you will have to restore the device).

 

With the black screen and the message in iTunes, you can tell that the iPhone X,┬áiPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR in DFU Reset (another name of the Developer Mode). You’ve safely entered this mode but do not ignore the steps for how to exit the DFU Mode. Then, you can enjoy this new and exciting experience without restrictions!
