We live in a crazy world and knowing phone numbers by heart has stopped being a priority a long time ago. Now, your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus might be powerful enough to let you save a ton of contacts with just as many contact details that you can easily access. But what do you do when you have to quickly tell someone your phone number?
That’s right, your very own, personal number, the one associated with the SIM card that you are using with this Apple device. Do you know it? And if you don’t, do you know how to get it? Because it’s actually a very simple process.
Want to know exactly what’s your phone number? Grab the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus and:
- Unlock the device;
- Tap the Settings icon;
- Open the Phone section;
- Browse for the number that should appear at the top of the display.
By this point, you should already be able to see the phone number listed on the screen. Do you?
Instead of your phone number, you just see the “Unknown” message?
If you’ve made it to the Phone settings but couldn’t see your actual iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus SIM number you are probably getting just the “Unknown” text message. This means that either your account or your actual SIM card are having some issues. The latter, for instance, could simply be placed in the wrong position.
If you just take it out and put it back in, this time, more carefully, to make it perfectly fit the slot, it could work. Retake the steps and see if you can now read your iPhone 8 phone number. If you don’t, perhaps your wireless provider might suggest a solution?
