How To Fix Slow Camera On iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone Xr

You must have heard people talking about all the great things brought by Apple iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr devices… If there’s anything that truly caught your eye, chances are it was the new camera technology. From the super-fast auto-focus and shutter to the improved shooting in low-light conditions, it all promised an excellent experience. Only that you bought the iPhone and the camera is anything but excellent. You’re confused and you’re right. But let us show you how to fix slow camera on iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr.

Does it feel like you’re having a slow camera problem on iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max or iPhone Xr? Perhaps you’re dealing with a more specific issue, like the recurring popup message telling you to “hold the device steady”? As much as you try to hold it still, you end up with fuzzy photos?

To fix the slow camera on iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr:

  1. Clear the camera app’s data;
  2. Try to factory reset your iPhone;
  3. Consider permanently disabling the picture stabilization feature.

The app data can be found under the Documents and Data menu, as a part of the Manage Storage section. You will find the latter if you navigate within the Settings app to General and, after that, to Storage & iCloud Usage. Basically, you can go through the Manage Storage respectively Documents and Data submenus, as suggested above, to access the list with the items associated with the camera app. Use the Edit option and the Delete All command to clear the camera app’s data.

If you are still getting fuzzy images, the next thing after the app’s software is the iOS software. You can restore it by bringing the device to its factory settings. The process is called factory reset and will require you to navigate to Settings. The General menu is, once again, the place where you must stop and browse for the Reset option. After you confirm your identity with the Apple ID and the Apple ID password, the iPhone will reset in just a few minutes.

In the unlikely but still, not impossible, situation that the factory reset did not fix the slow camera on iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone Xr… Start browsing through the settings of the camera app to disable the default option of picture stabilization. Maybe this one will have the effect you were hoping for!
