To hide that number – the thing you were interested in – you must navigate to the Settings and turn that feature from On to Off. So, the only thing left is to find where exactly is this feature listed. It’s obviously within the main Settings app, but where?

The Show My Caller ID option will be listed underneath the Phone entry. This means that you’re only 3 steps away from activating it: Settings >> Phone >> Show My Caller ID.

This path should be followed whenever you want to turn it off, just like when you want to turn it back on. This means that once it’s off, it will stay that way. You might forget about it and start calling everyone with a hidden number. Don’t be surprised if they will stop answering your calls, go check if your number is hidden when calling with the iPhone X/iPhone 10 !

After all, the change is pleasant for an occasional prank, but you wouldn’t want to scare your mom or your boss with calls from unknown numbers that only display “Unknown” or “Blocked”, would you?
