That’s right, on the new iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone Xr emoji keyboard that Apple is giving to its users, just like on many other third-party keyboards with emojis.

Have you checked your stock keyboard?

In case you haven’t noticed, the keyboard app that came with the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max or iPhone Xr displays a small smiley icon around the dictation key. If you select that icon, you should unlock all the built-in emojis, little faces that you can start using right away, with all your conversations, within any app where you have access to the stock keyboard app.


Have you tried with a third-party keyboard?

Third-party keyboards can also be installed. If you check the App Store and run a search for emoji keyboard¬† on iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max or iPhone Xr you’ll have a hard time deciding what to download and try out. So, do that and you will gain access to new emojis.


Between the stock and the third-party options, however, pay attention to the skin color of that emoji! With the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr, one can use different emojis that express the same thing but are only different in the default skin color and tone!

If you long press a particular emoji that comes with such options, you’ll notice a picker showing up on the screen, with all your other choices.
