The wireless connectivity would require you a HDMI cable and an Apple TV. Once the TV is connected to the local wireless network, launch the AirPlay feature. Then, you must:
- Launch a video on the iPhone, from any app you want;
- Bring up the Control Centre with one swipe upward from the bottom of the screen;
- Tap the AirPlay icon;
- Tap the Apple TV option;
- Make the last tap outside of the Control Center;
- Once you’ve closed the settings you can play that video and enjoy it on the screen of the TV.

Connecting the iPhone to an HDTV through a wire isn’t too complicated either. You will have to buy a HDMI cable and a Lightning Digital AV Adapter before you proceed. But after that, suffices to plug the HDMI into the TV with one end and into the AV Adapter with the other end. Last but not least, connect the AV Adapter to the port of your iPhone, via the charging port, and you’re ready to go.
Alternatively, you can also use the charger cable to connect the iPhone’s Lightning port with the Lightning Digital AV adapter and make the screen mirroring work.
