Maybe you’ve heard of it but never experienced this feature or maybe it’s your first experience of this kind. The Split Screen View and the Multi Window Mode are two features that any One Plus 5 device can offer you. Once you activate it, you’re experiencing the opportunity of keeping two apps on the same screen – smaller, but fully functional and easier to access than from the Recent Apps menu.
This article will allow you to learn how to activate this feature when you need it, how to keep it as a permanent option, and how to tackle it once you’ve activated the feature.
How to activate the Split Screen and Multi Window on One Plus 5:
- Turn on the phone;
- Navigate to the general Settings;
- Access the Device section;
- Select the Multi Window entry;
- Identify the Multi Window toggle from the top right corner;
- Switch the dedicated toggle from Off to On.
How to set the Split Screen and Multi Window as default on One Plus 5:
- Return to the Device submenu under the general Settings;
- Select the Multi Window option;
- Look for the option labeled as Open In Multi Window View;
- Check the box next to this option.
Whether you have activated this option temporarily or you have set the One Plus 5 device to launch all the compatible apps within the Multi Window view mode, you should be able to see the grey semicircle at the top of the screen. This symbol indicates you that the Split Screen is active and you can use two apps at the same time.
Bring the Multi Window mode at the top of the screen by simply tapping that semicircle. And now you can drag the icons of the apps you’re planning to use, releasing them on top of one of the two halves of the screen.
As one great feature that you can implement with your One Plus 5, you can resize the two windows from the circle located in the middle of the screen. Tap it, hold it, and drag it to a new location to change the proportions of the two windows from the display.
