How To Use Private Mode On OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T And OnePlus 5

The majority of smartphone users have some things they would like to hide from others. The privacy of people is really important and OnePlus has taken care of it with “Private Mode”. It represents a good way to hide videos, pictures or any other file without downloading any app.

Probably the best thing about OnePlus 5, OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 “Private Mode” is that only someone who has the passcode can access it. Let’s see how to set it up on your device:


How to enable Private Mode on OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 5

  1. With two fingers swipe down the menu to find a list of options
  2. Look for Private Mode
  3. When you enter the Private Mode it will require you to enter a pin code


How to disable Private Mode on OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 5

  1. Again, swipe down the menu in order to find a list of options
  2. Find Private Mode and select it
  3. After you do that, your phone will go back to normal mode


How to remove/add files from Private Mode

As we already mentioned, Private Mode is supporting photos, videos and a lot of other media types. If you want to remove or add some file from the private mode, follow these instructions:

  1. Turn on Private Mode
  2. Choose the file you want to be viewable only in Private Mode
  3. Tap on the Overflow menu button (find it in up-right angle)
  4. Select on Move to Private


The process is the same when you want to back some file to normal mode.
