Auto Reject Guide For Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus

Are you being annoyed by aggressive telemarketers or spammers who want to sell you all kinds of things? You’ve just got out of a life situation and you want to cut contact with certain people? Whatever your reasons for blocking calls, Samsung Galaxy S8 has a pretty awesome auto reject function that you’d probably love to know how to use.

Now that we established you have a solution at hand, we only need to make a small distinction regarding the terminology. Samsung prefers to call it rejection, but we like to call it just like you do – block. You want to block calls and we’re going to show you how to do just that. You’ll see, there are a couple of different options that you have at hand:

  1. Blocking calls from all the unknown callers on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus

Just to be clear, an unknown caller is not someone whose number you don’t have in your agenda, but rather someone who decides to block his number so you won’t be able to see on the display their name or phone number.

To automatically block all unknown callers: go to Auto Reject List >> select the option to block all calls from Unknown Callers >> switch its toggle to On.

  1. Blocking calls from a particular contact

If you’re not looking to limit everyone’s access to your phone number but rather to block a single contact, you can do that too: go to the Home screen >> tap the Phone icon >> access the Call Log >> scroll until you find that contact and select it >> tap on More (top right corner) >> tap on Add to auto-reject list.

  1. Blocking calls from your auto-reject list

This is a similar option with the one from above, yet more flexible because it lets you to directly edit the auto-reject list. First, you need to access that list from the Phone app >> More (top right corner) >> Settings >> Call rejection (probably the second option in the context list) >> Auto reject list.

Once you’re there, you can either enter a phone number that you don’t have in your agenda or a contact that you want to block. This is also the place where you can access something like a rejection list history, with all the phone numbers you’ve ever blocked on your Samsung Galaxy S8. If you want to block new contacts or to unblock old contacts, this is where you have to come.
