- Next, open the “Phone” app.
- Tap to open the ‘Contacts’ section.
- Once in the contacts section, select the contact you’d like to favorite.

After doing this, the contact you selected will now be favorited. Alternatively you can set a contact as a favorite by tapping their name in your contacts list. Once you’ve done this, a new page will appear with details about that contact and you’ll be able to press the star icon on this page to favorite them.

If you have too many people on your favorites list, you can also remove them. All you need to do is open the contacts app again and then navigate to a favorite contact and tap the star again. The star will disappear and they will no longer be on your favorites list in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9.
