Almost all modern smartphones will tell you if your message has been delivered. In most cases however, the android OS will have this feature disabled while in factory settings. You have to activate this ability if you want access to it. It is usually referred to as message reporting.
Check if Text Message Was Delivered On Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus
- Go to the “Messenger” app (the app you use for all texting activity).
- Touch “More”.
- Then select “Settings“.
- Tap “More settings“.
- Find and choose the options “Text messages” or if you wish, “Multimedia messages”.
- You will find an option called “Delivery reports“. Activate it.
Once you have done this, whenever you send a message you will be able to select an option labeled “View message details“. Some phone designs will name this function “View report“.
The message will have a status, these include “Received“, “Delivered“, or in some cases the details may just provide a date of delivery. If the text has not yet been received, it can display as “Pending” or “None” in the status field.
Only messages sent after this function has been activated will provide these details. Older messages will not offer this information.
This can be a vital instrument that many users will benefit from using right from the start of their experience. Much of the time, users can be left confused if they do not receive replies from contacts. In the past this used to lead to you contacting the network and blaming them for no getting your messages through. Now with this technology, you have a much better idea of the status of your messages.
It can be a very good idea to keep this function on at all times. Especially if you are in the habit of using messaging for very important information that is time sensitive.
