Fix Galaxy Note 8 Error Message “Not Registered On Network”

You may not know what this Samsung Galaxy Note 8 error means, but the “not” and the “network” parts are probably giving you the shivers. Basically, the “Not registered on network” message is telling you that you have no access to any of the regular services that your smartphone should facilitate. It really is as bad as it sounds, but only until you get to use a free IMEI checker and test if it really is something serious behind this error.

To test the Note 8 Not Registered On Network problem…

  1. Turn on the phone;
  2. Launch the Phone app;
  3. Type the (*#06#) code from the Dialer pad and access the IMEI number;
  4. If you get the IMEI number displayed on your screen, you can relax, but if you see an “IMEI Null” message, consider the following instructions…

To fix the Note 8 IMEI # null…

  1. Type any of the following two codes on your smartphone’s dial pad: (*#197328640#) or (*#*#197328640#*#*);
  2. Right after accessing the Command Mode, you’ll have to tap on the Common option;
  3. Go to the Field Test Mode and tap on Option 1;
  4. If the FTM is turned on, make sure you turn it off;
  5. Wait for the null IMEI number to be altered and then restored;
  6. For the changes to take effect, hit the Menu key button right before you leave this special Command screen;
  7. Then, select the Key input and enter the option 2;
  8. Now that the FTM is Off, you can take out the SIM card and the battery;
  9. Leave it like that for about 2 minutes;
  10. After that, put the battery back in and turn on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8;
  11. Return to the dialer pad and type (*#197328640#);
  12. Tap on the Debug Screen;
  13. Select the phone control;
  14. Then, select the nas control;
  15. Hit the RRC (HSDPA);
  16. Hit the RRC revision;
  17. Click on release your phone and hit the option 6 (the one that says HSDPA only).

When all this is done, turn off the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and, this time, put back the SIM card. The null IMEI problem should be solved and the Not Registered On Network error will disappear.
