There are times when you open the App Launcher, and you notice one of your app icons is missing from the list. This is quite a common occurrence. Users of the Galaxy S9 or the Galaxy S9 Plus usually encounter this issue more often than not.
If you are looking for a solution to this particular issue, this article will help you with how to fix the problem. The first step is to confirm you still have the apps installed on your device. Simply use your app manager or go to the Google Play Store. So now you’re sure the app is installed, what next?
Now, you have established that your TouchWiz Launcher is the culprit. While this is excellent news, the downside is that the only solution is to reset. By resetting, you also received all your settings for both the Launcher and Home screen. Once you do this, all your settings go back to default, and you don’t have any say in this matter.
With the following steps, you will be able to clear the data from TouchWiz. Expect to find all your apps rearranged by the default pattern after you:
- Open the Home Screen on your Galaxy device;
- Click on the Apps menu;
- Click on the Settings option;
- Open Applications;
- Open the Application manager;
- Tap the MORE option;
- On the menu displayed, click on Show System Apps;
- Choose the TouchWiz Home;
- Click on Storage menu;
- Select the Clear data button.
As soon as you complete this procedure, close the menu page and return to the App Launcher menu. Here, you will find all the icons that disappeared from the screen. The only task left is to rearrange the Home screen icons and make some changes to the settings.
