Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus: Blocking Calls Methods

Now that you know how to personalize the agenda of your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus, there’s probably one thing left – learning how to block incoming calls from either unknown callers or individuals that you just don’t want to hear of.

We’re not here to analyze your reasons for doing so – we’re pretty sure you have plenty of reasons to block a call or automatically reject it (they are one and the same thing). So, let’s skip to the essentials of getting rid of telemarketers or spammers.

Learn how to use the auto reject list to block calls on Galaxy S8/S8+ Plus…

The most common way to officially block a number from calling you is to use the Phone app. You will have to navigate to the auto reject list, from inside the Phone app’s menus, by going to More >> Settings >> Call rejection >> Auto reject list.

This is the page where you will normally see all the previously rejected phone numbers, from now on. At the same time, it is also the place where you can manually add a phone number or a contact already registered in your Agenda, as a number that you want to block. Last but not least, from the very same place, you should be able to unlock any previously locked caller.

How to deal with the unknown callers on Galaxy S8/S8+ Plus…

An unknown caller is someone who set his or her smartphone to block the calling details when making a call to you. If your phone rings and, instead of a contact’s name, from your agenda, or a simple phone number, that you don’t have stored on your phone, you see the Unknown caller text, it means that the person from the other phone is trying to hide his or her identity.

Luckily, there is one simple way to block all the calls received from unknown callers, automatically. Return to the Auto reject list by following the instructions from above and select the option that enables the phone to automatically block calls from Unknown callers on the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus. It’s a simple option with a switch next to it. Toggle to On and you’re done.
