Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus Error – Warning Camera Failed – How To Fix

Among the various bugs that a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus can experience, the one that displays this error “Warning: Camera Failed” is often debated online. That’s because many users encounter it and the classic fixes that most would think of, such as performing a factory reset or rebooting the device, don’t seem to work.

The problem is that once you get this message, you will no longer be able to use the camera of your smartphone, which is a major inconvenient. That’s why we’re going to show you 3 different fixes that our readers found and that successfully bypass this error on various occasions.

Fix #1 – Restart your Samsung Galaxy S8

A simple restart can often work wonders, and not just for your camera problems. Get the phone into Recovery Mode and wait until the device vibrates and then turns off. Let it sit like that for a while and then turn it back on. Try to use the camera and see if you still get the error.

Fix #2 – Force stop the Camera app

If the restart didn’t work, try to forcefully stop the Camera app. You will have to do this from the dedicated Camera app menu under the Application manager, which you can find under the general Settings menu. Once you tap on the Camera App in there, you will see the option Force stop, clear data, and clear cache. When it’s done, restart the Camera app and see if you still get the message “Warning: Camera Failed”.

Fix #3 – Clear the cache partition

This is the last thing you can try before sending your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus into service, for an authorized repair or replacement. Turn off the device and simultaneously press the Power button, the Home button, and the Volume Up button. Hold the three buttons until you see the Android system recovery screen and then release them. Highlight the option labeled as Wipe Cache Partition with the Volume Down button. Select the option with the Power button.

If you’re still having the camera failed problem even after you clear the cache partition, there’s nothing else you can do on your own. Let the professionals conclude that the time has come for a replacement.
