Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus: How To Use Multi Window And Split Screen View

With the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus, you can use two apps simultaneously in Multi- window mode. Before you can use this feature, it first needs to be activated in the settings of the phone.

Here we explain how you can turn this function on and get going. Simply follow these steps to make Multi-window possible on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus.

  1. Start with your phone on.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Multi window which can be found under
  4. Turn Multi window
  5. Tap the box next to Open in multi window view. This will make the mode default on your phone.

You’ll know the mode is active because a grey semi circle icon will appear on the screen. This icon is an indicator that the function is currently active and ready to use.

Tapping the grey semi circle will bring up the split windows. Once they are open you can resize them. To do this, tap and hold the semi circle towards the middle of the screen, then drag it to whatever size you want.
