Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus: Turn OFF Javascript

Javascript will usually make your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus move slower on the internet. That’s because the Android operating system, as well as the Google Chrome browser, whenever dealing with Javascript code, will take the time to read the source code lines first and then to display the website content on the screen of your device.

To speed things up a little bit, you can manually turn off Javascript on your device. This means that whenever you will encounter a web page with such code, the smartphone will no longer display that section.

To disable Javascript on Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Plus…

  1. Go to your internet browser;
  2. Look for the 3-point symbol, somewhere at the top right corner of the screen;
  3. Tap on it to open the browser’s menu;
  4. Select the Settings option listed in there;
  5. Navigate to Content Settings;
  6. Identify the Javascript option;
  7. Tap on the box next to it to uncheck this feature and officially disable Javascript.

And that was pretty much all you had to do. Now you can leave the menus and continue your navigation as usually. The Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus will no longer display Javascript content until you decide that you want to turn the feature back on. At that point, all you will have to do is to repeat the steps described above and tick the option once again.
