Galaxy S9 And Galaxy S9 Plus: No Email Notification – Resolved

You got your Samsung Galaxy S9 and managed to configure all your accounts, starting with the email account. Everything seems fine, except for one thing – you can’t seem to get email notifications on Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus whenever a new email reaches the inbox of this e-mail account connected to the smartphone.

Who likes having to manually launch the e-mail app every now and then, just to check up on unread emails? It would be like using the email app on a computer, which shouldn’t be the case with this smart device…

Here’s How To Solve No Email Notification Problem On Galaxy S9 And Galaxy S9 Plus:

  1. Go to the Home Screen;
  2. Tap the Apps menu;
  3. Tap on the email app;
  4. Select More;
  5. Select Settings;
  6. Select Notifications;
  7. Check the main control for emails notifications – it must be enabled;
  8. Check the bottom of the e-mail app’s Settings list, for the Alerts – it must be enabled.

After you’ve made sure that these two essential settings are set to On, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will start giving you notifications with every new e-mail. One more thing though – at the same Settings section, you can also choose how you want this notification – a simple vibration or a notification sound, the Letter sound as default.

You’ll have to make this choice too! This should fix the no email notification on Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus.
