Are you having some problems with rapid charging not working on Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus? With the Samsung Galaxy S9 offering support for so many online and offline activities, there’s no wonder that even its powerful battery needs a little backup from time to time. That backup was meant to be given by the rapid charging function, something that should spare you from having to wait the extended period of time required with the normal charging.
Now, if the fast charging seems to you as slow as the normal charging, it could be more than just an illusion. User reports show us that the fast charging doesn’t always work and we can think of one or two reasons for this unfortunate situation.
One would be a high CPU temperature, when the automatic loader module can block the fast charging for obvious security reasons. But if that’s not the case, you can suspect some Android system setting problems. To check this possibility, you’ll have to access the special fast charging options:
- Go to Settings;
- Select the Battery;
- Look for the Fast Cable Charging and the Fast Inductive Charging options;
- Make sure they’re both enabled and, if not, tick their boxes right away.
Once you did that, you can plug in the charger and notice the difference. Your Samsung Galaxy S9 will now recharge its battery as fast as it was designed to do with the special rapid charging feature.
