The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus both have an included feature, which is called haptic feedback. This is a feature that will vibrate when a user interacts with their device – it gives users the feeling that they’re performing an action on their handset and the smartphone has registered it.
Examples of haptic feedback on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus include small vibrations each time a key is pressed on the keyboard, small vibrations when on-screen buttons like the home button or back button are pressed, or vibrations when a user holds their finger on the display to long press.
All of the vibrations caused from haptic feedback can actually drain battery quickly, so you may want to switch it off.
How To Turn Off Haptic Feedback On Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus:
- Make sure your Galaxy S8+ Plus or Galaxy S8 is switched on.
- Open the apps menu
- Open the settings app
- Tap the sound option
- Tap Vibration Intensity
You should now be taken to a new page – you should see a small window that showcases a few different actions that’ll cause vibrations on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus. You can use this page to switch off haptic feedback by switching the haptic feedback switch to the OFF position.
You can also change settings for other types of vibrations. Here is a list of vibration types that you can switch ON or OFF from this page:
- Incoming call
- Haptic Feedback
Once you have switched off vibrations for haptic feedback, you can always turn it back on by returning to this page at any time.
