Did you know that there’s a way you can keep power savings mode on permanently on your Galaxy S8 and S8+ Plus? Whilst, by default, the power savings mode will switch on when your battery reaches a certain percentage, you can save your battery life for longer by switching it on permanently. The power saving mode on the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ Plus will limit a number of features on your smartphone and keep the hardware usage to a minimum to increase the battery life. Whilst performance may not be at it’s best whilst in power saving mode, you’ll still be able to operate the smartphone normally in the majority of cases, and you’ll be able to save your battery life whilst doing so.
By default, the power saving mode on the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ Plus will switch off when your battery life dips below 20%. However, if you follow the guide below, you’ll be able to turn on power saving mode immediately. Simply follow the steps below and you’ll be instantly adding extra battery life to your Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus.
How to keep Power Saving Mode on permanently for Galaxy S8 & Galaxy S8+ Plus:
- Make sure your Galaxy S8/S8+ Plus is switched on.
- Open the app menu.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap the option for “Battery.”
- Tap “Power Saving Mode.”
- Tap “Start Power Saving.” You’ll then be able to choose between the following options.
- At 5% battery power
- At 15% battery power
- At 20% battery power
- At 50% battery power
- Tap the option for “Immediately.”
This will immediately turn on battery saving mode on your Galaxy S8 or S8+ Plus, regardless of how much battery power you have remaining.
