Step 1: First, open the app menu, then tap to open the contacts app. Tap the “Groups” tab at the top of the display. You’ll see an option for ICE emergency contacts. Tap the Edit button next to the emergency contacts group. You’ll now be able to add contacts to this group on Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S8.
Step 2: This next step will ensure your emergency contacts will appear on your lock screen. First, switch off your display and switch it on again to bring it to the lock screen. Next, hold your finger on the phone icon in the bottom left corner and drag it to the center of the display. Tap the “emergency” button.
You’ll now be able to add up to three contacts from the ICE emergency group. Tap “Done” and you’ll now have emergency contacts accessible from your home screen. From now on, if anybody accesses your smartphone, they will be able to call these contacts even whilst your Galaxy S8 is locked. This is very important for emergency situations.
