How To Fix Email Not Working Properly On Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus

Some Galaxy S8 users have reported of their E-mail not working properly. This is especially frustrating since the users cannot access their emails with ease any time they need to. They also complained of manual syncing malfunction while others had problems deleting emails or emails not coming in at all. All these problems make some users frustrated when they cannot access their mailbox on their phones with ease.

Other users also found out that their email problem was as a result a problem that pre-existed within the email app itself. If this is the case for your phone, you could try some alternative email applications such as Mailbox, Outlook or even Gmail, as per your preference. There are some possible solutions for these problems however.

You could start by erasing your email account from your Galaxy S8 smartphone then restarting the phone. After it is active once more, re-add your email account details from the start and then check to see whether the problem is fixed.

The other solution you could probably try out is contacting the IT department if the email error is a specific email from your workplace or maybe a student’s email from your college.

The next option would be to try and wipe the cache partition of your phone. Do that by following these simple steps.

  1. Hit and hold on the Power key then select “Power OFF” to switch OFF your device
  2. Hit and hold on the Power, Volume Up and the Home buttons simultaneously until the Android logo appears. The recovery menu will then show on the screen.
  3. Use the Volume Up key to highlight “wipe cache partition” and the Power button to select it. When it’s done, hit “reboot system now”


If you’ve done all that and the problem still persists, then it is advisable that you try a factory reset of your smartphone. However, ensure that you back up all your important files prior to the reset.
