How To Fix Text Problems On Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus

If you do own a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus, it prudent that you know how to go about fixing the problems with texting on your smartphone. Some of the text issues on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone include failure to send messages to other Android smartphone devices.

The transfer of a SIM card from an iPhone device on which you used iMessage could cause the above-mentioned problems with texting on Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone.

Before you start using your SIM on an Android device, you ought to deactivate the iMessage otherwise other iOS devices may still send messages to your phone using iMessage. Fixing a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus that is not receiving texts.

  1. Remove your SIM card from your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone that you are currently using.
  2. Insert the SIM card back into the iPhone device you were using initially.
  3. Connect the smartphone to a data connection network such as a 3G or an LTE network.
  4. Go to the Settings and then click on the Message option.
  5. Turn the iMessage off.

If for some reasons you happen not to have an original iPhone which then means you cannot turn the iMessage off, you can opt for another alternative. The alternative is to access the Deregister iMessage page and from where you can iMessage off. From the deregister iMessage page, select on the option for “No longer have your iPhone?” at the bottom of the page. You will find a place to enter your SIM card number.

After keying in your phone number, select Send Code. Once you get this code, enter it into the box written, “Enter confirmation code” and “Submit.” This should enable your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone to receive text messages from contact using the iPhone smartphone.
