How To Refresh Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus Apps

For those that own a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus, you may want to know how to refresh Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus apps. The reason for this is that it’ll allow you to control the manner your apps use your background data from your cellular or wireless carriers by using the following settings.

 

Enabling/disabling all background data

  1. Go to the Homescreen
  2. Press on apps then go to settings
  3. Choose ‘data usage’
  4. Hit the ‘more’ icon on the top right section of your screen
  5. Select ‘restrict background data’ to block the usage of background data by apps from your smartphone. This option changes to ‘turn OFF Restrict background data’ when the setting is already OFF so toggle the setting to your preference.

 

Enabling/disabling the background data for particular apps

  1. Go to the Homescreen
  2. Browse for Apps then select ‘settings’
  3. Hit on ‘data usage’
  4. Browse for the app you wish to alter the setting for
  5. Browse for the setting ‘Restrict background data’ then toggle ON/OFF button as per your preference

 

However, the above methods of restricting background data does NOT restrict apps from using a Wi-Fi connection in the background.
