How to Save Google Maps Offline on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus

There are two different methods that you can use to save Google Maps offline. You need to first switch on your smartphone and then launch the Google Maps app. The two methods are as highlighted below.


Enter the command prompt in the Search of Google Maps

After launching the Google Maps, go to the search bar and then type OK Maps. After typing this command, you may now start saving the Google Map addresses you searched offline.


Saving Google Maps via the Info Bar

To save Google Map addresses, you can also open the app and then search for the address you want to look up for. Press and hold your screen with your fingers until a checkmark appears. In the info bar located at the bottom of your screen, view the saved Google Maps addresses. Swiping the info bar upwards will bring the display data into view on your screen.

Select the three point icon and click on Save Offline map after which you should see all the saved information. You can then view the Google Maps you saved offline without the need for an internet connection.

There is a time limit of up to 30 days for any Google Maps that you save offline on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone. The maps are automatically deleted after the elapse of 30 days. You are now good to go as regards saving Google Maps offline on Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus.
