Screen mirroring, also known as screen casting, is an interesting function of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus devices that allows you to display whatever you have on your smartphone on a TV screen.
The reasons why you might want to do that are various, but as you are reading this, you are already thinking in how many ways you could use this function.
As you probably anticipate, the process takes opening a screen mirroring connection on both your smartphone and the TV that you are planning to use. It also takes using the correct software and having a few special tools at hand.
To begin with, you can screen mirror on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus either with a wireless or with a hard-wired connection. In this article, we’re going to walk you through the simple steps of setting up a wireless connection:
- If you don’t have a Samsung Smart TV, begin by purchasing a Samsung AllShare Hub. This one will have to be connected to your TV through a normal HDMI cable.
- Once you did that, connect both the Galaxy S8 and the Samsung Smart TV (or the AllShare Hub) to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Tap on Settings and go to Screen Mirroring. And from here, you should be able to see whatever you have on your Galaxy S8 straight on your TV screen.
