The new Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone has the Do Not Disturb feature, although it is actually the Blocking Mode. Apple iOS uses the name Do Not Disturb for this feature hence the same why Samsung cannot use the same name.

This feature can be found on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus only that instead of looking for Do Not Disturb feature, you should look for a feature called Block Mode. This will provide options to choose from and then proceed to add to the reject list that particular contact.


Turning on the Do Not Disturb Mode on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus

  1. Power on your Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone
  2. Go to the Settings menu
  3. Browse through the settings to locate Blocking Mode
  4. You should be able to see an Off and On switch in the upper right corner. Turn this toggle on.
  5. With the Blocking Mode enabled, a circle with icon of dash will be visible in the phone status.
