As phone manufacturers started to use more advanced technology, getting rid of the limits that would have dictated how many contacts you can have in your agenda was one of the biggest advantages. Nowadays, with a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or any other smartphone, you get a lot more than unlimited storage space when it comes to your agenda. You get a wide range of options regarding the way you organize it.
For instance, you can list contacts alphabetically, you can group them by certain criteria, and you can even set up a list with contacts that you can access instantly, without having to scroll through an endless list.
The latter is called adding a contact to your Favorites list. And because it can be done by using a star icon, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 users also refer to it as – star favorite contacts. The contacts with a star will be displayed first in your agenda, so, if it’s something you’d like to experience, read on!
The 5 easy steps to star a favorite contact on Galaxy Note 8:
- Unlock the phone;
- Launch the Phone app;
- Head to the Contacts section;
- Browse through the list of contacts and select one that you want to favorite;
- Tap the red circle with a star in its center.
Alternatively, you can also highlight the name of that contact and access the window with all the details associated with that entry. Somewhere at the top of the window, there will be a star icon that you can select. This action will automatically add that contact to your list of favorite contacts.
As you add new persons on your list, you’ll see that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to display the star contacts alphabetically, so, you won’t be able to change their order – unless you change their names! But go on and keep editing your list of favorite contacts and you’ll get to know your options in detail. One of them refers to how you can actually remove a previous entry from that list.
If you no longer want to keep a particular contact on the Favorites section, suffices to delete it from there by unchecking its star.
