How To Turn OFF GPS On Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus are turning out to be very popular smartphones. Some people are already referring to these two smartphones as the best in 2017 due to the new features and design. The only downside to these two smartphones is that they enable Google to track your location using the Global Positioning System (GPS).

However, not all of us are fond of looking at our location history on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphones. It is for this reason that we are rolling out a guide for you to know how you can disable the GPS.

 

Turn the GPS ON/OFF in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus

  1. Go to the Apps from your Homescreen
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Select Privacy and Safety option
  4. Choose on Location
  5. Select your preferred Location method from the following:
    • Wi-Fi and Mobile Networks
    • Wi-Fi, GPS and Mobile Networks
    • GPS Only

 

You can also turn off all the location services such as GPS using the steps provided below:

  1. Once again go to your Homescreen and click on Apps
  2. From the Apps, open the Settings
  3. Click on Privacy and Safety settings
  4. From here slide the location switch OFF in order all the location services including the GPS.

 

You may also want to use other location services, so here is how to only turn of some of the services:

  1. Go to the Apps from your Homescreen
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Select Privacy and Safety option
  4. Choose on Location
  5. From here, you can switch ON the location switch then click to Agree
  6. Select the preferred Location Method
  7. Choose Wi-Fi and Mobile Networks to enable you use other Location services but not the GPS

 

The steps provided above will aloe you to turn off the Google Location History Tracking on your Samsung Galaxy S8 as well as the Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone.
