How To Turn Off JavaScript On Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus

Having the JavaScript turned on when using a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone can be a good thing, especially when you are constantly browsing the web and surfing all kinds of websites with videos that use JavaScript.

But that’s only OK until you bump into a malfunctioning JavaScript website when you will probably want to turn off the JavaScript from your device. When you do so, your smartphone will no longer be able to read the JavaScript source code of that website and then to display it on your display.

In this article, we are going to show you how to turn off JavaScript. You’ll see, it’s very easy and you can turn it back on whenever you want. So, this is purely for your information, as you will get to decide if and when you want to turn it off.

With your smartphone turned on, launch the Android browser and follow these steps:

  1. Look at the top of the screen for that 3-dot symbol;
  2. Tap on the icon and look for the Settings menu;
  3. Access Settings and then Content Settings;
  4. Look for the JavaScript option;
  5. Uncheck the box next to it if you want to disable the JavaScript feature.

From now on, JavaScript won’t work on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus when using your Android browser, until you decide that you want to revert the change. When you do that, go back to the browser and tap on Settings >> Content Settings >> JavaScript. Check the box next to the JavaScript option.
