Samsung Galaxy J7: How To Turn On Screen Mirroring

Screen mirroring is a popular feature of the more recent models of smartphones. Your Samsung Galaxy J7 is one of those models that support displaying its content on a larger screen, as long as you have what it takes for setting up the connection.

Depending on the TV you’re planning to use, as well as the hardware and software components you have at hand, the screen mirroring feature can be activated and used either through a wired connection or through a wireless connection.

Feeling clueless about all your options? No problem, let us help you with this to-the-point tutorial:

To set up a hard-wired connection:

  • Buy a dedicated MHL adapter, something you’re sure will match your Samsung Galaxy J7;
  • Plug the adapter into the smartphone, to start the connection;
  • Then, power up the adapter by plugging it into a power source;
  • Take a regular HDMI cable and plug one end into the MHL adapter and the other end into your TV’s HDMI port;
  • Use your TV remote or whatever controls you have at hand to enable it to display the image through the HDMI port;
  • Your TV should start mirroring the Samsung Galaxy J7 right after that.

Say you don’t have a smart TV? For the older analogue models, you can find on the market a dedicated HDMI to composite adapter and use it to connect the phone to the TV.

To set up a wireless connection:

  • Buy a special Samsung AllShare Hub;
  • Grab a regular HDMI cable and plug one end into the Hub and the other end into the TV’s HDMI port;
  • Connect the smartphone and the Hub to the same Wi-Fi;
  • Go to your Samsung Galaxy J7’s settings and activate the Screen Mirroring.

Say you have a smart TV? Then you don’t even need the AllShare Hub, your Samsung Galaxy J7 will work without it.
