Knowing that you have numerous options for personalizing your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 ringtones must be comfortable. But what would you consider a priority between changing the alarm ringtone and changing the incoming call ringtone? Of course, you can do it both, but, in today’s article, we’d like to focus on only one of them and present it to you in detail.
Coming up next will be the instructions on how to set those custom ringtones for one, several, or all of your contacts. We’ll begin with one example and you should be able to replicate it with all the other persons in your contacts list.
Before we begin, you should know that you have the Samsung’s TouchWiz technology to thank for all these options. Adding new ringtones, customizing your list of available ringtones, setting them for one contact or for more than one, and even adjusting the ringtone of your incoming messages – it’s all about the TouchWiz and the mighty Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Here are the steps you should take:
- Turn on your smartphone;
- Launch the Phone app;
- Swipe to access the Dialer window;
- Find a contact you want to edit;
- Select that name;
- Select the pen icon from the editing screen;
- Select the Ringtone button;
- Browse through the list of available songs;
- Use the Add button from the bottom of the window to add your new, custom song.
The Add feature will have you browse through the entire Music library of your Samsung Galaxy Note 8. If you’ve taken care to copy the song in there, using the local memory and not a cloud version of it, you will be able to select it in no time. Once you do that and you leave the settings, whenever that contact will call you, you will hear a different ringtone than with all the other persons in your agenda. As suggested in the beginning, you can personalize your Galaxy Note 8 even more, by setting different ringtones for many other contacts. Take these steps to each new contact and you’ll be done in a few minutes.
