When phone manufacturers installed apps and overlays on your phone, they believe that they are being helpful. A lot of people will have to remove these additions, as they do not use them. For example, Briefing is a news aggregator app. Take a look at the following steps in order to learn how you can disable Briefing on your Samsung Galaxy S8.
Completely disabling the Briefing app
1. Go to the Settings, Application Manager, and Applications.
2. Show system apps by choosing More.
3. Choose Briefing.
4. Choose Select Disable that is located at the Application info page.
You will be able to save your data and background battery at the same time since you will be using the left panel for something that can be more useful. You can move the app icon to the place that Briefing was originally at so you can use something else that is better. You can always change the steps and re-enable Briefing if you want to look at the daily news again.
