  1. Begin by downloading the app “GPS Test” free from the Google Play Store
  2. Install the app, run it and turn the GPS on. If you are already done, the GPS on your Galaxy S8 should be on ‘active’
  3. Open the menu with the GPS Test application and select “settings.” This will take you to the settings of the application.
  4. There are 2 buttons; Clear AGPS and Update AGPS. Press them successively. You have just successfully reset the AGPS data of your Galaxy S8 GPS. There will now be a delay of up to 5 minutes in determining the 1st position after that update of AGPS data.


If you require to determine your particular position for instance through Google Maps, it should be a problem for you no longer.
