When you’re in one of those situations when you have to save a contact on your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 fast, you probably don’t pay much attention to how and where you save it. So, it’s usually when you put your SIM card into another phone that you discover you don’t have all of your contacts with you, on the SIM, and you realize you haven’t saved it to the SIM card before.
To avoid such confusions and the possibility of losing important contact numbers, it cannot hurt to learn the ropes of saving all your contacts on the SIM card from the very beginning. The instructions couldn’t be easier and clearer than the steps presented below, so, read on!
If you want to save your contacts on the Note 8’s SIM card…
- Turn on the smartphone;
- Go to the Contacts app and launch it;
- Tap the MORE icon from the upper right corner;
- Go to Settings;
- Select Import/Export Contacts;
- Select Export;
- Select as destination the SIM Card option;
- Wait a few seconds for this transfer of information to take place.
Now that you did all that, for all the contacts currently in your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 agenda, the name and the phone number will be stored on the SIM card. This means that, should you ever change the SIM and put it into another device, you will be able to take with you the essential information! Everything else – any other information associated with those contacts – will not be stored on the SIM.
