Samsung Note 8 And Note 9: How To Block Calls

Just like you can block pretty much any setting and feature of your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or Note 9 that you don’t like, you can also block any call that you don’t want. This block calls or rejection process can be used for a particular number – whether you have it in your agenda or not – as well as for unknown numbers – those calls with hidden number that probably bug you so much.

It can be a telemarketer who’s abusively calling you, a spammer, or just someone who wants to have fun insisting with unsolicited calls. It doesn’t really matter because your options are more than clear and we are going to show it to you right away.

Meet the built-in Auto-Reject List of Samsung Note 9 and Note 8

That’s right, there is a special place on your smartphone where you can personally handle this sort of issues. It relates to the Phone app, which is why you should start from there:

  1. Launch the Phone app;
  2. Tap on the MORE option;
  3. Select Settings;
  4. Access the Call Rejection option;
  5. Hit the Auto-Reject List.

Now that you have accessed this particular page, you just have to type a phone number that you want to block. You can also unblock other numbers that are already on this list, though, we believe it won’t be the case.

Learn how to block calls straight from your Call Log on Note 9 and Note 8

Despite your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or Note 9 having that custom section for handling the Auto-Reject List, there is a shorter way to do it. This way will work for situations when you just want to block a number and forget about it. If that’s the case, open up the Call Log and simply select the number. Then, you can use the MORE button from the top right corner and you’ll see the option to directly “Add to auto reject list”. Use it and that was all.

If you want to block all the unknown callers on Note 9 and Note 8…

You have an option just for that! It’s on the same Auto Reject List that we kept talking about, which means you’ll have to follow the instructions from our first section, to get to it. In there, you’ll see the entry that enables you to block the calls from Unknown Callers. All you have to do is to activate it from the dedicated toggle next to it. Switch the toggle to On and consider your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or Note 9 ready to block calls that come from any unknown caller, without exception.
