Samsung Note 8 And Note 9: How To Fix Side Button Not Working

Having one of the best smartphones from Samsung, like the Galaxy Note 8 and Note 9, isn’t always a walk in the park. There may be instances when you will think that you are having a problem and instances when you can tell exactly what the problem is. Troubleshoot a Galaxy Note 8 and Note 9 unresponsive side button

The easiest thing to suspect and the simplest thing to do is to boot into Safe Mode, where you will test if it’s a faulty app. We are talking about one of your third-party apps, which, in the Safe Mode, are blocked from running. If you can use the side Power button and unlock the screen with this mode turned on, it means that you are having these problems in the normal running mode because of a third party app.

 

Since you cannot tell exactly which rogue app to blame, you might want to consider the factory setting option. When you bring your Samsung Note 8 or Note 9 to its factory defaults, all the software problems are usually solved. Do that and see how it works.

In the end, don’t forget to also run the latest software update, as available from your carrier. Ask the service provider, if necessary, but make sure your Galaxy Note 8 or Note 9 is running on updated software!
