Samsung Note 8 And Note 9: How To Turn ON AND OFF Spell Check

If we are to admit that typing is piece of cake yet spelling is a more complicated story, the purpose of the Spell Check on Note 9 and Note 8 is more than obvious. This special feature that your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or Note 9 supports will help you make sure that your texts are spelled correctly. Since no spelling mistake or typo will be overlooked when you activate this feature, don’t you want to know more about it? Do not worry, it won’t make automatic corrections, just underline in red whatever it considers having a problem, letting you decide what to do about it.

If you want to control the Spell Check on Note 9 and Note 8:

  1. Turn on the smartphone;
  2. Go to the Notification section or the App drawer;
  3. Access the Settings of your Android System in there;
  4. Make your way to the menu labeled as Language & Input;
  5. Browse until you spot the Samsung Keyboard sub-menu;
  6. Select it and then, select the Auto Check Spelling.

The simple tap on the Note 8 and Note 9 Auto Check Spelling will result in its activation or deactivation, depending on what status it had. If you want to turn the Spell Check on or off, that’s all you have to do.

In case it wasn’t too obvious, our instructions from above refer to those who use the Samsung Keyboard – that’s why you’ve accessed its settings from the General Settings menu. If you’ve taken the liberty to search for a third-party keyboard on the Google Play Store, turning the Spell Check On and Off on Samsung Note 9 and Note 8 might be slightly different. It all depends on what keyboard app you have and how its keys are laid out.
