If you have recently bought yourself a new Galaxy S8 from Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint, you must be quite excited with Samsung’s latest flagship. Using it all the time might be very tempting but we trust you know better than to use it while you’re driving! If you want to protect yourself and those who travel with you without going under the radar or making other people worry because you don’t answer their calls, you have the Driving Mode at your disposal.
You want to focus on the driving part and still be able to tell your callers that you can’t answer because you’re driving, yet you will reply shortly, right? That’s precisely what this feature is intended to do. In today’s article, we will show you not only how to activate it, but also how to personalize that custom message that your callers will receive.
Read on and discover the simple steps you are required to take
The Driving Mode was designed to automatically reject all your calls as long as you keep it active. Aside from rejecting the call, it will also deliver a message like the one we suggested above, to inform the caller about your current situation. For this reason, it is obvious that your settings will start right from the Messaging app:
- Launch the Verizon Messages+ app;
- Go to its menu;
- Select the Driving Mode option;
- Pair your audio device with the Driving Mode via Bluetooth;
- Tap on Add Device to use the Driving Mode;
- Tap on the Driving Auto Reply Message if you want to change its text, after you have checked the box;
- Tap on the checked boxes once again to disable it.
Just to sum up, using the Driving Mode on your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus will only require you to access the messages app and check or uncheck the Driving Mode and Driving Mode Auto Reply boxes listed in there.
