Ever felt like you’re having too many apps on your display? Perhaps felt the need to organize them a little bit? The good news is that creating folders and grouping themed apps on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus has never been easier.
Even if you don’t exactly feel the need to declutter your screen, for the time being, rest assured, a time would come when you’ll have too many apps on your smartphone. Learn now how to create folders in Galaxy S8 home screen and you’ll be a much happier user later.
In this article, we’re going to show two different ways for doing just that:
Method 1 – Drag, drop, and group related apps
The simplest way to create a folder on your smartphone’s Home screen is to just drag one app on top of another app. As you hold that second app above the first one, you will notice a folder name appearing. Let go of the app, type in the name of that folder, and continue dragging and dropping other related apps into the newly created folder.
Method 2 – Use the New Folder option
Another way to better organize the apps sitting on your Home screen is to use a special option for creating new folders.
You begin by selecting an app and holding it until you notice a menu opening at the top of the screen. Drag that app and release it on the New Folder option. Edit the name of the New Folder as per your desire and use the keyboard to select Done and officially create the folder.
From now on, you have a folder with an app in it and you can repeat the steps described above to add other apps in the very same folder. Go ahead, start your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus and put these steps into practice. Once you hold and drag apps, you’ll notice how simple and intuitive it all is.
