Bluetooth Car Connection Problems On Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Plus

Do you drive a car like BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo, Toyota, Nissan, GM, Mazda, Volkswagen or Tesla and you just can’t connect your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus via Bluetooth to it? You’re not the only one and this Bluetooth problem on this particular Galaxy S8+ Plus model is quite common among Samsung users.

While some of our readers complained about such problems when simply trying to use the headphones, the majority of the negative feedback comes from drivers. The reason for discontent is understandable and we are doing whatever we can to provide you with some practical solutions, despite the lack of an official fix coming from Samsung on this topic.

Even so, the following attempts seemed to work for many other people in the same situation, which is why we are recommending you to test them too:

Begin by clearing the Bluetooth data, in the event that the cache memory is a bit overwhelmed and, consequently, it blocks the switch between the apps you are using and the Bluetooth. This Clear Cache Memory guide will indicate you the exact steps to follow, but if you have extra questions, do write us a comment at the end of this article.

To give you a few specific hints, you will need to clear the Bluetooth cache, on one hand, and the Bluetooth data, on the other hand. When the cleanup is done, try to reconnect your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus to the car via Bluetooth and see if you’re still having problems:

  1. Begin by turning on the device;
  2. Head to the Home screen;
  3. Select the App icon;
  4. Select the Settings icon;
  5. Browse until you find the Application Manager;
  6. Swipe to the right or to the left, so you can display the All Tabs section of the Application Manager;
  7. Select the Bluetooth;
  8. Tap on the option that forcefully stops the Bluetooth;
  9. Clear the Bluetooth cache;
  10. Clear the Bluetooth data;
  11. Select Ok;
  12. Restart your smartphone.

When the Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus reboots, try the car connection and see if the Bluetooth is still playing you tricks.

If you’re in the same situation as before, you could also access the Recovery Mode and wipe the cache partition in there. This time, perhaps you will also try to connect the smartphone to another device than the car, again, via Bluetooth. The problem should be fixed.
