For the new owners of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus, you should probably know that it comes loaded with pre-installed apps otherwise known as bloatware. Knowing how to remove these apps is really important as it allows you to create extra storage space. However, it is important to note that when you delete bloatware from Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus, you don’t get that extra storage to install other applications.
You can delete Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus bloatware including all the Google apps such as Gmail, Play store, Google+ and the likes. You can also remove bloatware such as Samsung’s S Health, S Voice and so much more.
Method 1: From the Settings
- Go to Apps> Settings
- Hit Device
- Hit Applications
- Select Applications manager
- Select the App you wish to remove
- Hit Uninstall. You should note that only customized apps will have the option of uninstalling
Pre-loaded apps will only offer the option of disabling the application. Disabling doesn’t exactly uninstall the app, but it prevents the app from running on start-up and from appearing on the applications menu.
Method 2: From the Launcher
- Go to Apps
- Hit “Edit”
- Hit “Uninstall” or “Disable” depending on the app
